Reading/Writing Homework

All students are required to read and write for homework. They have a myriad of choices about when and how much to do and exactly what to do.  For example they can read all of their pages and write during the week and have the weekend off or visa versa.

They have a selection of prompts to respond to
Each student will be setting their own goals; however, the following are the "bottomline" guidelines.
Quarters 1-3 Read 100 pages a week Quarter Four - 125
Write one piece of writing with revisions three times a semester. (Most quarters this writing is completed at school.)

Vocabulary and Language Memorization may also part of their nightly homework.

Once in a while students will have a specific assignment to complete at home: research, read a specific article or story, complete group work assignment.
